Meet Kevin

College / Adults / Couples

With 25 years as a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor, Kevin has expertise in strength based, multi-systemic treatment, cognitive-behavioral therapy, and Internal Family Systems (IFS). His professional experiences range from home-based family therapy to high school teacher to boarding school administrator to outpatient mental health counselor to university counselor and administrator. He currently practices and trains graduate counseling students in Internal Family Systems (IFS), a non- pathologizing model of psychotherapy. He is also trained in Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction, Pain Reprocessing Therapy (PRT), Centering Prayer, and QPR (a gatekeeper training program for suicide prevention). Special areas of interest include working with pastors, counselors, and other helping professionals in the prevention and resolution of burnout. When not in the office, Kevin enjoys life outdoors in the woods, on the river, in the garden, jogging, camping, and visiting National Parks.
